For this assignment, you will write a paper in which you discuss the works of Judith Butler, Frida Kahlo, and any three poets from this week’s list. After reading their biographies and their works, discuss these intellectuals’ motivations for creating and sharing these works. More specifically:

Why does Judith Butler dissect the notion of gender and share her thoughts?

Why does Frida Kahlo paint what she paints?

Why do these poets write about these topics and in the writing styles that they use?

Your paper should also use a total of three literary terms from this week’s list to analyze the works.

Your paper should be two pages long and should include a thorough introduction and conclusion. Your paper must be in MLA format. Although you should cite the works, you do not need to include a Works Cited page.
