theres 3 readings I need separate summaries of. Below are the instructions for each separate reading.

1// Rodin, Brancusi

Please read the Introduction and the chapters about Rodin and Brancusi. Write short summaries about these chapters and focus on ideas where sculptural thinking gets introduced. Your over all summary should be around one page and not extend two pages.

Please read and summarize the following chapters: Picasso: Cubism and Construction (page: 59-74), Gonzales (page: 75-84) and The Object(page:107-128) from the book: ‘The Language of Sculpture‘ written by William Tucker. For the summaries select from each chapter 5 most salient points/arguments that remain important to you and explain why you picked that particular aspect. You also can raise questions or choose something that you haven’t fully understood and try to describe where you assume the difficulty may lie. A main focus is to continue to question: What is sculptural thinking? What were the questions Picasso and Gonzales were working with?

3// Brancusi II, Gravity

Please read and summarise the following chapters: Brancusi at Tirgu Jiu (page: 129-144), and Gravity (page:145-159) from the book: ‘The Language of Sculpture‘ written by William Tucker. For the summaries select again from each chapter 5 most salient points/arguments that remain important to you and explain why you picked that particular aspect. You also can raise questions or choose something that you haven’t fully understood and try to describe where you assume the difficulty may lie. We continue to question: What is sculptural thinking? This assignment will support as the previous ones our discussion in class and help you to deepen your understanding about sculpture.
