I think general negligence poses a great risk for PI. It it my understanding tat premises liability only applies to the PIs office building, not its worksites. Although premises liability may have an effect on them, general negligence can pose a greater risk because their job requires them to be off site and at someone else’s place of business or home. Proving negligence is hard, and four elements need to be proved before there can be any type of claim. The four elements are: duty of due care, breach of that duty, factual cause and what the damage or loss were (Advanced Business Law and the Legal Environment, 2014).
