Proposal and outline

1. Proposal clearly indicate your revised research question
describe how you will answer the proposed question (use your outline as a guide)
explain why you think this question is important for the course
Initial Proposal: 1-2 paragraphs
Revised Proposal: as indicated by the instructor.

2. Outline

the first primary point of the outline should be your revised research question or thesis statement
the second and following primary points should indicate the main points of your thesis
hint: these principal points of your outline should become topic sentences in your paper
the final primary point should answer your research question or restate your thesis
secondary, tertiary, etc., points should be used only when multiple items are of the same level
Initial Outline: ½-1 page.
