Most grant applications will require you to write some type of “needs statement.” This statement basically explains who you are, why you are requesting this money, and how you believe it will help further your mission/impact the community.

For this assignment, I want you to use the attached Needs Statement Exercise to help you create a two–page needs statement. Start your paper by identifying an organization and its purpose. This can be an actual organization you know or work with or one you make up. Go through the questions on the worksheet and answer them. Once you have answered all the questions, take your answers and turn them into a two-page statement.
