Since Carl Marx in the mid to late 1800s communism is the main form of government standing in contrast to democracy. As we have discussed China, we have seen its birth to a thriving economic power.

In a five paragraph essay China has made some amazing transformations in the modern era; however, the most important question—is it possible in communism or socialism to achieve economic growth for the majority of it’s citizens, and at the same time a degree of individual freedoms under these forms of government. Argue whether it is (or is not) possible for the theory of communism/socialism to someday lead to the realities it espouses in the writings.
